The Cusco City Tour explores the (San Pedro), Qoricancha (the Sun Temple), the main Cathedral and the Cusco Four Ruins.

Cusco City is rich in Incan and Colonial History and still celebrates the roots of each culture today. Cusqueños have mixed Incan and Spanish tradition, religion, food, and culture in fascinating ways. The local art of Cusco, both past and present is beautiful to behold and present-day art is surprisingly modern and cutting edge. The local market of San Pedro is a feast for the eyes and includes everything from meat, flowers, fruit, vegetables, prepared food, juice, and local handicrafts. A truly cultural experience, this tour will provide you with a deeper understanding of Cusco history and present-day customs.

It is a wonderful way to begin acclimatizing to the high altitude of Cusco City and get ready for a trek if you have booked one. The four ruins (Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Q’enqo, and Sacsayhuaman) are also just above Cusco City and therefore the tour is easily completed in half a day. This tour is very popular and though quite touristy, there is plenty of open space in which to explore the large ruin sites. It is one of our most favorite tours offered and we personally rate it as a must not miss experience.
